Together We Climb, Together We Grow ESSB Organizes Bukit Kemuning Hiking Activity to Foster Friendship and Cooperation
To enrich employees’ cultural life and strengthen communication and cooperation with the local community, ESSB organized the “Together We Climb · Together We Grow” hiking activity at Bukit Kemuning on October 31. A total of 135 participants, including company employees and local residents, joined the event.
Terengganu State Chief Minister’s Special Assistant Mr. Zawawi Bin Mohamed was invited to attend, along with Mr. Wang Shenghua CEO of ESSB, , and Dato Tee Choon Hock, director of ESSB. Participants hiked together, shared friendship, and deepened the company’s integration with the local community.
In the early morning mist of Bukit Kemuning, the lush green hills provided a refreshing setting for the event. Before the hike began, a brief but lively opening ceremony was held. Ms. MOHD FAISAL BIN OMAR, Senior Manager of External Liaison Department, delivered remarks on behalf of the company.He expressed her gratitude to the local government and residents for their long-term support and trust, noting that the hiking activity was not only a way to promote health and teamwork, but also an important bridge for communication between the company and the local community. She emphasized that ESSB has always adhered to the principles of openness, cooperation, and mutual benefit, actively participating in local development and contributing to regional economic growth.
In his speech, Mr. Zawawi Bin Mohamed commended ESSB for its efforts in promoting local economic development and creating job opportunities. He noted that ESSB has not only introduced advanced industrial technologies but has also driven the growth of surrounding industries, injecting sustained momentum into the regional economy and demonstrating the company’s sense of responsibility and commitment to shared progress.
During the hike, employees and local residents supported and encouraged one another, feeling the strength of teamwork and the warmth of friendship amid sweat and laughter. Every upward step symbolized cooperation and mutual trust, reflecting the shared journey toward growth and understanding. The activity concluded in a joyful and relaxed atmosphere, deepening mutual understanding and friendship between the company and the community.
At the end of the event, the company presented commemorative prizes to the top ten climbers as a form of encouragement. Meanwhile, the company also donated rice, flour, cooking oil, and other daily necessities to 70 underprivileged households around Bukit Kemuning, conveying warmth and care through concrete actions and demonstrating its firm commitment to social responsibility and community care.
The Bukit Kemuning hiking event marked another vivid example of ESSB’s active integration into local society and commitment to harmonious coexistence.
