Eastern Steel Sdn. Bhd. Manganese-Silicon Ferroalloy
Furnace Officially Put Into ProductionOn March 12, 2024, Eastern Steel Sdn. Bhd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") 120,000 tons of manganese-silicon ferroalloy project was officially put into production, which can effectively recycle the waste gas as well as making the company's green development moving forward.
The project is a supporting project for company's 800,000 tons of Coke Energy project, which using the surplus electricity emitted by the waste heat recovery boiler for production, to achieve the overall energy consumption balance in the company. The project adopts the advanced technology of dry gas recycle, low pressure compensation, one-key operation of feeding and batching, to ensure product quality under the condition of high intelligence, short process coordination and high smelting efficiency.
It is understood that manganese-silicon ferroalloy is mainly used to eliminate excess oxygen and sulfur in molten steel and improve the quality and performance of steel, it can also increase the manganese content in steel, thereby improving the strength of steel. The commissioning of this project will not only meet the company's daily alloy consumption, but also Malaysia and Southeast Asian steel enterprises with high-quality alloy products.
